Even though it makes some very interesting products, HTC is not doing quite so well financially. The Taiwanese maker is struggling to attract consumers, who now have more options than ever in the smartphone market, especially in the value segment which is dominated by Chinese brands like Xiaomi.
To pique US consumers' interest, HTC has decided to offer some pretty impressive discounts on some of its most-popular products, the One M9 flagship, Google-branded Nexus 9 tablet and RE camera, as well as all of the accessories it sells.
And by "pretty impressive" I mean up to 50 percent off. The biggest discount applies to the RE camera and accessories, no matter what product they are designed for. The former can now be had for just $99.50, from its usual $199 asking price.
Next in line is Nexus 9, being offered by HTC for 40 percent off of its normal asking price. The discount applies to both the 16 GB and 32 GB Wi-Fi models, which now go for $239.40 (down from $399) and $287.40 (down from $479), respectively. The current prices make Nexus 9 highly attractive for someone looking for a new Android tablet, seeing as there is nothing else that matches it in this price range. Available colors are black and white.
Last but not least is One M9, which gets a 25 percent discount. In practice this means that, for instance, the unlocked model can be had for as little as $486.75, (down from $649) and the Verizon version only costs $1, depending on your plan.
HTC's summer sale is valid until 11:59 pm on July 28, so you better hurry.
