Spotify is one of the top music services in business today. It's a tough market, with a growing field of competitors aiming to get your money. It can be good, and many people love it, but how could it become even better?
How about adding If This Then That (IFTTT) support? The service has added a new channel that allows you to utilize its capabilities for many functions associated with your music.
So what can you do with the new channel? Quite a lot, actually. It will tweet new tracks you add, post to Tumblr when you add a song to a playlist, set your Android wallpaper to the most recent tune you played, allow your Philips Hue lights to control the color matching your album cover, and pin new tracks to playlists.
If you like home automation then this fits the bill, especially with the lighting part. IFTTT had little to say, aside from "The Spotify Channel makes it easy to find the right music for every moment -- on your phone, laptop, tablet and more". If you're interested then follow the link.
